The purpose of the Teen Program is to familiarize young women with the Miss Virginia/Miss America programs by involving them as teen contestants in a similar program. They will also have the opportunity to participate in the Miss Virginia production.

In addition to the fabulous Teen and Preteen pageant to be held on Saturday, June 28th, Teen and Preteen contestants will:

·         Be directly involved in the 2008 Miss Virginia pageant as we celebrate our 55th year in Roanoke.

·         Be featured on the Miss Virginia stage in a fabulous production.

·         Be featured performing in a live telecast of the Miss Virginia pageant on Saturday evening, June 28th, 2008.

·         Our winner will be crowned on stage Saturday evening during the live telecast of the Miss Virginia Pageant.

·         Teen winner will represent "Virginia" and advance to "Miss Americas Outstanding Teen" in Orlando, Florida to compete for over $30,000 in scholarships and prizes.

What a fabulous opportunity to be involved with the largest scholarship organization for women in the world - "The Miss America Organization"!

This is a non-profit scholarship and recognition event. It is by invitation only. Only young ladies ages 10 ~ 17 with a high academic ranking are invited to participate. In addition, young ladies are invited who have been recognized publicly for their outstanding personal achievements, volunteer service, school involvement, creative talents and leadership abilities.
